Underlying Risks When Using Consumer IT Services: Introduction to Information Security in Southeast Asia

On April 15, 2016, E-Jan International, Mamoru Singapore and Kyocera Communication Systems Singapore hosted a free seminar titled “Introduction to Information Security in Southeast Asia”. This seminar covered several information security topics, such as effective IT Security measures for organizations, underlying risks when using consumer IT services, 5 simple steps for prevention of information breaches, and several other related topics on security.

E-Jan International’s presentation was titled “Underlying Risks When Using Consumer IT Services”.

Introduction to Information Security in Southeast Asia Seminar

With a total of 28 participants, comments in the surveys indicate that the event provided new, relevant insight on information security, and was useful in conveying that “IS (Information Security) doesn’t come naturally. It’s a process we (the companies) need to keep improving”.

Participants also commented that the seminar was beneficial in understanding Shadow IT and how information leaks occur, and reported gaining a better understanding of IT security, as well as how to prevent problems.
