Function Introduction: AD/LDAP authentication within CACHATTO

There are a number of benefits to connecting an AD/LDAP server with CACHATTO apart from having access to Exchange. AD/LDAP authentication makes using CACHATTO even easier without compromising security.
If ActiveDirectory (AD) server authentication is enabled, the shared passwords will be updated upon successfully logging into CACHATTO. AD/LDAP authentication can be used for both portals and viewing the file server.

AD/LDAP authentication also applies for access permissions on file server files both in and outside of the office.

Diagram 1.2: When viewing the file server from your office PC, files/folders without access permission are not displayed. Likewise, these files/folders are not visible from CACHATTO either.

Access permissions are maintained with AD/LDAP authentication when viewing the file server with CACHATTO.
